about me

{About This Blog}

Hello, I'm Chelsea.  If you are looking for a blog that highlights the perfect home, perfect kids, and perfect marriage this is not that blog. I instead enjoy sharing with my readers the everyday struggles and triumphs of our not-so-perfect but incredibly blessed life. I delight in showing unedited, non-perfect photos and stories of my family and our home in hopes that you will be encouraged and refreshed that there our others out in cyber space struggling with how to survive in this crazy, blessed thing we call life. I invite you to follow along with my family and share in our laughter, joy, and tears as we celebrate that through Jesus we do not have to have perfect lives or the perfect home but can rejoice in knowing that our imperfection is just fine....in fact it is perfect!

{About Me}

 When I'm not sitting in front of the computer or working my day job, you will most likely find me on the road to an adventure with my husband and our sweet kiddos, Easton and Brighton. Raising our Wild things chronicles our everyday adventures and tips and tricks we learn along the way. Here you can find posts on everything from budget travel and home remodel to stories of motherhood and relationship revelations!

I am a born, raised, and rooted southern bell living in the great state of Georgia. I started blogging in 2011 after being encouraged to do so from a co-worker and honestly never thought I would stick with it, but even though I don't get to blog nearly as much as I would like to I truly love the community I have found online. I am addicted to anything chocolate, good books, spending time at the lake, and honestly travel in general, and rummaging through garage sales to find a treasure. I also have a big space in my heart for black olives and Mexican food.

I graduated from the University of Georgia so naturally I am a huge college football fan.

{Our Love Story}

Our love story begin during our senior year of high school when I was pressured as the captain of the cheerleading squad to date the captain of our high school's football team. I joked with my friends about how this would never happen but as only God's perfect plan would have it I agreed several months later to go to the homecoming dance with 'the football captain and runningback. This wonderful guy quickly swept me off my feet and it didn't take long before I was smitten! He proposed five years later in June 2010 after an all day, all-star proposal that ended on a hot air balloon. We were married a little over a year later on a hot, rainy, magical, summer day in July.

Becoming Mr. & Mrs. was one of the biggest blessings in my life and we have never been happier! Ask either of us and we will tell you marriage is the absolute best thing to happen to you when you wait on God's timing and for the person God has designed for you.

{Then there were three...}

In 2014 our precious fbaby boy entered the world and has rocked our world in the most amazing way.

{Then there were three...}

Fast forward four more years and our precious daughter, Brighton, entered our story. Having a little girl was a dream come true for me and I still feel like I get to play dress up with my live baby doll everyday.

I invite you to join me in following along as we journey through life sharing our stories, dreams, projects, travels, and anything in between along the way!

{Life Verse}

If you have faith the size of a mustard seed nothing shall be impossible to you!
